Lawrence aims to be a composer and music educator because he firmly believes that music, particularly Philippine Music, is a vital aspect of the Filipino culture and identity that it has to be readily accessible to all of its citizens. He promotes Philippine music through his music compositions and performances. His compositional identity is founded on the use of Philippine and Southeast Asian Music Traditions as channels of expression in the Contemporary milieu.
